How to use the CelebroSecure site?
If it’s the first time you use the site, you will need to purchase some seals, by pressing on the “Purchase Seals” button.
If you have Purchased some seals and a “passcode” was emailed to you, press the “Seal File” button.

I have purchased some seals what do I do next ?
Select the “Seal File” button , then input your email address you used when you purchased the seals and your passcode (as its was emailed to you). Point the “choose a file to seal” to your work, you may use the “Browse” button to help you find it on your computer. Add any additional information into the “user added information” that would be useful in proving your IPR. Then press the “Upload File For sealing”.

What if I lose my Passcode ?
Press the “Get Passcode” button and input the email address used to purchase the seals, the Passcode will be emailed to you. You can cut and past the password from the email into the Passcode area of the web site.

I have uploaded the file what happens next ?
Once the file has been uploaded to CelebroSecure you will be presented with the file upload successful page and you will be able to download the sealed file to your computer by pressing the “DownLoad” seal button and pointing to where you want your sealed work to be saved on your computer.

What if I did not download my sealed work from CelebroSecure?
You will be sent an email with a link to download your sealed file; you MUST download it within 24 hours, as all files are deleted from our system after 24 hours.

How do you protect the IPR of my work?
By sealing your work at CelebroSecure, your identity (as know by paypal/Credit card) and provable accurate time and date is sealed with your work. This and the other data and metadata in your work will become electronic evidence for your claim to the IPR of your work.

Why do I need to upload my work to your CelebroSecure site?
We need you to upload your work to seal it and add further evidence metadata.

What do you do with my work after it has been uploaded to CelebroSecure?
We seal it for you to download, all your work is deleted from our system within 24 hours, so you MUST download it within 24 hours.

It cost 1p so why to I have to pay a minimum of £1 via PayPal?
There is minimum charge to use the PayPal service, a pound allows you to create 100 seals, you may buy more that 100 at a time.

Why do I get back a zipped file?
The zipped (compressed) file contains your original work and the seal file.

Why do I get back two files
The zipped (compressed) file you download from CelebroSecure contains two file, your original work file and the seal file. The seal file proves the authenticity of your work file, proving that the work file and any application metadata in that work file is the original work you sealed.

Do I have to keep the two files together?
To verify the files they need to be in the same folder at the time of verification or they should be kept together in the zipped (compressed) file, but other than that No. Your work file can be handled and distributed separately from the seal file, just bring the two unaltered files together when you need to prove the authenticity of your work by verifying the seal.

How do I prove that it’s my work to other people?
You can distribute the zipped file, or the two files (work and seal) to any third party, all they need is a web browser to verify the seal and the authenticity of your work.

What is 'evidence-metadata'?
The term evidence-metadata is used to describe data that provides evidence about other data, so sealed evidence metadata can prove that you claim copyright on your work, the time and date it was sealed, and the sealed evidence metadata can assist you in proving the originality of your work.

What about other metadata in my work?
If your work contains metadata within the file, for example a jpg picture can have metadata created by the camera; the seal of your work proves that all the application metadata has not been tampered with, or changed, post sealing. By sealing your work that includes application Metadata, the application metadata becomes additional evidence-metadata about your work
